youth classes info

My 10 year old son is interested in taking fencing classes and I can't find anything through our local Parks & Rec programs. Does anyone know of a resource in Raleigh NC or nearby for Youth fencing classes?

Go to: www.usfencing.org and look to the left at the "Where can I fence?" link. Click on that, and follow the directions to NC on the USA map. Click there, and you'll get links to every club in North Carolina. At least one I saw was in Raleigh.

Find the contact information and call the clubs. Ask them about youth programs...not all clubs specialize or teach kids. Some primarily teach youth fencers.

Are all clubs listed on the USFA site? Maybe not if they are being charged for the listing. I'd also google search on the web.

As the Pres of the NC Division, I invite you to check out the Division website at www.ncfencing.org. Under Division, you can see a list of clubs. Raleigh Fencers Club is the closest club to you I am guessing, so you might check out their site. Good luck to you!
