    Pan Pac Masters Games Australia

PAN PAC IS BACK!!!!!!! For all those fencers out there 30 years old and over, Pan Pac Australia is now officially on. Fencing competition dates are 11/6 through 11/8 and will be held at the Southport Stadium in Southport Australia. The entire games will run from 11/6 through 11/14. You can obtain information on the competition through me at Cutter@sbcglobal.net or with Peter Creese in Australia at p_creese@hotmail.com or register online at www.mastersgames.com.au

Why compete in Masters Games? Most fencing competitions revolve around the youth but even the veteran events limit the number of fencers due to high age requirements. This leaves many adults without the opportunity to compete against their peers. The PanPac Masters Games provides an opportunity for adults to fence and socialize with other adults. Not just for Maestros, this competition only requires a love to fence.

Why is PanPac different from other competitions? PanPac a joint effort between Goldcoast Events (Australia) and the Sacramento Sports Commission (United States) who have turned the famous and successful sports event since 1998, The Asia Pacific Masters Games in Queensland, Australia, into a worldwide event now known as the Pan Pacific Masters Games. Held every odd year in Sacramento, California and every even year in Queensland, Australia.

This year PanPac returns to Australia and will host more than 45 sports, including fencing.

The competition in Sacramento last year turned out great. A great deal of camaraderie developed and everyone had a wonderful time. Again, for further information, please contact me or Peter Creese or visit the website to see how fabulous this competition is.
