| Would this be appropriate for your board? Greetings!
First, an introduction: I am Jennifer Bahrs, a senior Industrial Design student at the University of Cincinnati (this is year 7 for me). I haven't participated in modern fencing yet; my introduction into swordplay was through the Society of Creative Anachronism (please don't laugh I enjoy it a lot!). We use Del-Tin replicas of Elizabethan rapiers (as well as the occasional schlaeger blade), typically with swept-hilt guards. Many of us study and try to apply the works of masters such as Marozzo and di Grassi. I have truely come to love rapier swordplay. (However, we also have used epees in some of our tournaments.)
My question I pose to this forum:
I am in need of help. I would like to ask some questions, in a new thread, about modern fencing as it pertains to teenagers for the purposes of my current design studio project. I need to gather input from participants (of all ages, but mainly teenagers and parents) of modern fencing to understand what I am designing.
Would it be appropriate for me to make a new thread of this nature on your message board?
Thank you!
- Jennifer Bahrs

| Jeez, start a thread with a name like that. I was expecting some shockingly controversial, disgusting, inflammatory whack-job argument! |

| I suppose I could help. Not that experienced at fencing yet. But I am 16 and have had training in some other forms of combat. But what I dont understand is why you need input from our parents?

I'm curious how you are linking modern fencing and industrial design.

As DHCJr said on another thread, it's all in translating it into a program....
But if she DOES built a cybernetic me, will it become Governor of California some day? |

To the person who started the thread: it would help if we had an idea of what you are trying to do. I'm sure that we'd help if we can some clue other than musing of a cybernetic Inquartata. **prickles up the spine**
