Thanks. I've got an interview with Sergei Golubitsky coming up. I'm hoping to get that one finished out (editing, layout) over the weekend to have it up next week.

Sylwia was very nice to respond how she did and she supplied some great photos to use.

Wait, there were words? I couldn't help but stare at the pics. I wonder if Craig got more pics but he's not sharing...

    Cool interview Craig!

Funny, I just noticed that the Google advertisement on the right side of the interview had something to do with fencing. Deer fencing... invisible deer fencing.

Why would anyone want to fence in invisible deer?

Maybe, perhaps, likely, possibly, probably, potentially.

    Craig,
I would love to see an interview with the parents of the Jacobsons. I want to know how they keep their daughters fresh and from burning out.
I had a chance to talk to Sada for a couple minutes in San Jose and she seems really ready to go.When she smiles it reaches her eyes which is not the case for a lot of top US fencers. It amazes me.
It would be nice to know how that can happen from a parent's perspective.

Tina, Sada's mom, is really cool and a wonderful person to talk to. Her dad is pretty intense.

Gruchala is pretty hot. I really do wonder if craig has a stash of X rated Gruchala pics in his closet. But what a honey buns !

Yes, Tina is a wonderful person -- so down to earth -- the best thing to keep her girls grounded.

I don't know their father, so I can't say. But to the people that say that Arkady is hard on these girls as a coach, I can say that Tina wouldn't allow that -- in fact, I have had time together with both Tina and Arkday after a World Cup competition, and we all had a great, casual, low-key time together. Perhaps he gets a bit passionate during competition, but then again, that is his job to do so.

Ummm...no. And that's a bit insulting towards her. She's someone who through fortune and great training is knocking on the door of an Olympic medal and she happens to be pretty also. Try to keep the drooling to a minimum.

Though I say rowr to the article pictures, I never thought to think about x-rated stuff. I have hopes for her fencing in the Olympics, and I'd like to change her wrist when she hits... but the (regular?) prurient thoughts never occurred to me. I guess that means I'm getting old. When did that happen?

I think Gruchala is getting things right. She's bringing glamour to the sport, but it wouldn't mean anything if she wasn't already a great fencer. All the photography (she's highly photographed) just makes me think of her as carefree and goofy; probably a nice person to know.

I'm cheering for her against Vezzali in the next Olympics. If they both face off in the finals again, Gruchala will need to do something about Vezzali's attacks into preparation. She'll have to be able to finish on target, which means fixing that wrist. It's not that I don't admire Vezzali, I just think Gruchala has a big payoff coming.

I am being sarcastic craig. She is a good fencer who has certainly earned her keep, I was just commenting on her pretty face.

I dont think he knows what sarcasm is, but it did seem pretty clear to me that he was joking.

I love the comment "Fencing isnt tennis but I manage." Sums up most sports funding bodies attitudes in one pertinant sentence. She seems such a nice girl! I vaguely remember her fencing at the Olympics in 2000 I think.
Theses are evil....VERY evil, someone rescue me pls!
