    looking for information

I am searching for information on a relative of mine.........Clara Rayner to whom there is a memorial tournament named after her. All I know is that she died in a car crash maybe in the 1950's. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Gary from Derby

It would help if you could provide some more information about her, such as where she's from and possibly where this memorial tournament takes place?

It's a UK tournament if my Googling was correct.

Not much more info than that.

Have you tried asking someone at the British Fencing Association (www.britishfencing.com)?

    Hi Gary

In case anyone else doesn't realise, after Paolo's post, the "Clara Raynor" is a British fencing competition (I assume Gary is from Derby, near Nottingham, in England).

I don't think that the competition is still run - can't see it on this year's British Fencing Calendar - but it has been run in recent years (although I have never done it myself).

Gary, try posting on the British based fencing forum (www.fencingforum.com/forum) - you are MUCH more likely to find someone there who might know something about your relative (although 50 years is a long time ago).

    Good luck

    Boo
