Are you a lawyer Edew?

Lawyers seem to be bemoaned by everyone.

They may have to take unethical positions, present sophistry in defence of a dubious client. I think you would need a gut of steel to do that (for criminal cases in particular).
Lawyers can become heros when they defend the down-trodden and innnocent.

Ummm, isn't that the same as what you did here,

Socrates, we respect your dislike for quotes, but see no reason why your preference should be imposed on the rest of us who find the function useful, that's all.

A certain level vagueness is always a kinder and more spontaneous.

I thought we're trying to communicate/exchange ideas here. I guess I'm wrong.

When the idea one's trying to respond to is too far back - as this case is, 25 posts later - it's always good to let everyone know what one is talking about. Eliminates the fog of war...

One thing we should suggest is that quoters should edit the original quotation to the bare minimum, to its barest necessity. i.e. no need to quote the whole 600-word original.

To I_luv_saber's point and to all others um interested

Yeah, I guess am responding to one user, but I didn't quote him/her (I am trying to enhance my memory).

I guess I refer to my last statement. Quote in moderation, like all things.
