    Petition for Olympic Fencing?

Just out of curiousity, has there ever been a petition or such to one of the major networks to show Olympic fencing? I know this may seem like an odd question, but it would be really cool if such thing happened. It'd be great to see more sports other then gymnastics, where we must find out their life story of how they were born without limbs and have now have trained themselves to this level. *prepares to run for cover from the fallout*

No fallout. You just have to realize they're not going to do it out of the goodness of their hearts. You'll have to guarantee revenue that would surpass what they're receiving for the sports fencing replaced in their coverage.

Well, if a Canadian makes the top four (so, maybe in women's epee) there will certainly be fencing on CBC (Canadian TV), if you can manage to get it. It's one of the benefits of having few medalists and a network that tries to make its coverage as broad as possible.

I've always been dissapointed with the Olympics the only things they show are track and field and gymnastics it seems. Last time I was taking Tae Kwon Do and hoped after going to nationals and seeing the US Olympic team that maybe they'd air them. They were going to air it at like 4 AM on a Thursday. At this point I was supposed to be in school in like 4 hours but I'd stayed up all night to watch it. It was replaced with ballroom dancing. I would like to believe whatever network has arranged to air the Olympics would show fencing what with it being one of the sports that have been with the Olympics the entire time, and even one of the oldest sports in the Olympics period, but- they probably won't.
