    Duel in the Desert:

    Who's going?
    Who's been before?
    Will there be vendors there?
What kind of weapons control do they do?

    and...

Did you get Cirque du Soleil tickets?

    Happy New Years to all,

    Artisan

    I will.
    I have.
The Fencing Post should be there.
Standard weapons check like at NACs.

No CdS tickets. Will be busy doing other things. Most likely with a pair of queens or so.

Now that raises some seriously disturbing images......

I'll be there. It'll be, what, my fifth year? However many they've had sabre as an event, anyway. Two other sabre fencers from my club are going as well ( and probably some foilists and epeeists, but I don't keep track of them ).

I certainly hope there'll be vendors. 2 or 3 years ago there were none, and it sucked.

I'm afraid the Evan, is cutting his costs. The Armory staff will be smaller than usual. Carl will still be in charge, but Dan and myself will not be there. Matthew Porter will be there on the staff, but will not be selling and Alain from Reno will be there.

I'd rather have two queens than four spades and a club. Even if they offered me a diamond or two.

I'll be there... hoping for a better placing in the open than last year. I hope there are venders! I have no body cords left!

I've attended for five years now, each year under a different name and never fencing the same weapon event twice consecutively. Even though I use my "off" hand, the competition offers minimal challenge. (But unfortunately I can't allow myself to fence at a higher level without alerting the authorities to my presence.)

    That being said ...
I think the Duel in the Desert will probably be very exciting for many of you here.
