| Desperately seeking sabre An erstwhile clubmate is trying to find someplace to fence sabre in the Charleston, SC area...or at least within a couple of hours' drive. Inquiries to the salles listed on the USFA website have proved of no avail. Does anyone know of any? Thanks in advance. |

| Thanks! I've heard from the owner of a sabre club in Charlotte. It is a fair drive, but my friend may still be willing to give it a go---she's that "hooked"...
If anyone else is aware of anything closer, please pipe up. |

| I know an epee fencer from Charleston, so there's at least SOME fencing there. I would ask him about sabre, but he's already left (he traveled here for a fencing camp), sorry! I hope that helps!

| That's the problem---she's contacted a couple of local clubs, and they've all invited her to come in...if she wants to do foil or epee. Being an intelligent and sensible young woman, she doesn't. |

| There are a few saber fencers at the USC club in Columbia. That is the closest she is going to get. After that would be with Volkman in augusta. (but except for Rudy I think most of the saberists have gotten transfered out. Atlanta and Charlotte are after that. If you could afford the time for the travelling Atlanta would be the best bet. Either Nellya or AFC.
Good luck
