During the next year the Renaissance Fencing Club of Madison Heights, Mi. will be attempting to get corporote sponsorship for our tournamants. We would like to entice them with facts and figures about fencers and their spending habits. We would appreciate your input.


1. Approximatly how much do you spend per year on non fencing-specific equipment?

2. How many books have you purchased over the past year?

3. How many videos have you purcased over the past year?

4. How many CD's have you purchased over the past year?

5. What do you like to do after a tournament?

a. Grab fast food on the way home
b. Go to a family style restaurant
c. Go to the bar

6. Other than fencing what hobbies do you enjoy?

7. Do you have any suggestions as to what companies might be willing to sponsor tournaments.

1. Approximatly how much do you spend per year on non fencing-specific equipment?

About 200 dollars max, that includes presents for people (so what I'm cheap! =)

2. How many books have you purchased over the past year?

0, that's what Libraries are for!

3. How many videos have you purcased over the past year?

0, I don't even have a TV, and I haven't bought any DVD's either, but I rent them.

4. How many CD's have you purchased over the past year?

3 or 4. . . Downloading music is much cheaper

5. What do you like to do after a tournament?

a, as I said, I'm cheap, and I'm under 21 so I can't get into most bars.

6. Other than fencing what hobbies do you enjoy?

Reading, working out, hanging out with friends. . .

7. Do you have any suggestions as to what companies might be willing to sponsor tournaments.

I would ask ADIDAS, because they are wicked cool!!!

What does this mean? generalized sports equipment? Can't really answer it since I don't know what it means.

Somewhere between 50 and 80. This fact causes me to seriously re-evaluate my priorities . . . nah.

None of the above. I go home and eat there.

I write poetry and novels, knit, surf the Internet, and windowshop.

7. Do you have any suggestions as to what companies might be willing to sponsor tournaments.

My club has had luck with local restaurants sponsoring tournaments.

Uh, b would be closest, but really none of them.

Aikido, Katana, Video games, grappling, movies, paintball, modelling, wargamming, roll playing

Like I learned from paintballing, ask everyone.
