Are male and female lame' sizes measured the same?i recently went online shopping and found this interesting site selling fencing stuffs. and wanted to try.. so i ordered metallic vest but i didn't read that it's for male, but i'm a female fencer. just want to find out if i can wear a male vest?

Some fencing suppliers make lames that are unisex, and some make them specifically for male and female. The females tend to have more room in the chest than the males. They are sewn differently around the front to accommidate the different body shape.

Put it on and see if it fits you. The only difference between and men and women's lame would be the cut, but even that is only for generic differences between men and women. If your lame fits you, don't worry about the recommended gender. Similarly, a small man with a large chest shouldn't shy away from wearing a "female" lame, if it would fit him better.
