Moniteur and Prevost tests

Just wondering if anyone here has gone through the USFCA's testing for moniteur or prevost certification? And if so, how tough were the tests?

The Monteur examination may be taken in one, two. or all three weapons. It consists of a written part and a practical part. All the questions are very basic. All skills are also very basic. The exam was originally designed to be easily passed (basically to weed out total incompetents).

The Prevost examintion covers all three weapons. There is a written and a practical part. The writen part must be passed prior to taking the practical, since an examination board of three Fencing Masters grades the practical exam. The practical exam consists of giving fencing lessons in all three weapons, at a relatively high level of performance. In addition there may be some oral questions (each examiner has his own favorite zingers). The written part consisted of 25 definitions of terms (straight out of the Rule Book)and the USFCA Glossary in "Foil Technique and Terminology".
In addition there are seven essay questions, of which the candidate must select five. This is the last written exam given (there is no written exam for Fencing Master). Candidates must be well prepared to answer questions on fencing theory, training, biomechanics, motor learning, etc.
This was the protocol prior to the current Accreditation Board, but I cannot vouch that it is still being followed.
