fencing has been good because I found the wonders of a german grip I never knew a grip could feel so natural
    it has been bad because:
    it ended
"The shopowner and his son ... well that's an entirely different story altogether ... I had to beat them to death with their own shoes."

    Hi!

    My GOOD:

Scored a point on a guy who got bronce in the MET World Championships, when we were bouting the MET Nationals.

Got a bronze in the MET regionals, winning the bronze bout against a team which hade individually better fencers than ours.

    My BAD:
Letting down my team in the MET Nationals, in the team match after the one where did the good.

    Have a nice time!

    Good:
Won Western Canadian u20 championships (epee) in my final year as a junior.
Improved my footwork and point control.
Realized that I actually improved these things.
Became a bit more relaxed at the tournaments.

    Bad:
Still pretty darn nervous before important tourneys/matches.
Missed Nationals and a couple more big tournaments that would benefit me a lot.
Wasn't able to fence every time I felt like it.
    Had a long depressing slump.

    Good:
HS season started again (runs ca. November-March)
the whole team's back, better than ever, with a whole bunch of novices sucked into our grip (doubled our size this year)
school promised us money for a scoring machine (our first!)
no longer afraid to stab people and mean it.

    Bad:
injury to left (dominant) wrist, so I'm fencing right handed for now, maybe the next month.
probably the best way to keep the wrist happy is to cut way back on fencing in the long term. (may join the x-c ski team next winter instead of fencing, because I can't make the practice commitment anymore, but nothing says that I won't still fence as much as I can)
