OK, does anyone know where a good place is to buy an Italian foil? The only place I could find (obviously anyway) was AmFence, but they were asking for $74 for a dry. That seemed on the expensive side to me. Any help would be much appreciated as I'm looking to be thrifty. Thanks in advance!

Uhlmann makes them. You can buy electrical and non-electric at The Fencing Post (www.thefencingpost.com) under the classical fencing section.

However I think those ones might use France Lames blades.

Hey... Triplette has dry Italian blades for about $54. They're good quality too... by my experience, anyway.

I definitely wouldn't suggest the FL blades...

I carved myself an italian grip with rosewood, it will fit on a french grip tang.
