    Red Sox-trades

    Completely idealistic.

Curt Schilling to Red Sox for P Casey Fossum, P Brandon Lyon, P Jorge De La Rosa, OF Michael Goss if Schilling waives no trade clause.

    Also Sox sign Foulke.

To pay for this they push nomar somewhere in Cali and have to dump Manny (which seems impossible).

They get to keep Nixon, Varitek, and Pedro and have a solid team for next year. Starting rotation is pedro chilling, lowe, wakefield, and Arroyo. and now with Foulke one of the best clowers in baseball.

    How about that?

Also idealistic...they choke in the 1st round, to save all of New England the heartache.

Thankfully, I don't have to worry about such problems, as an Indianapolis Colts fan.

Yeah, too bad your savior, Mr. Manning, has not actually ever won a playoff game, 'tis a choker.

Good thing you picked up on the sarcasm there.

I live near Buffalo, so "choke" has a dimension that cannot be approached by any other sports team.

Until last year, the Colts had Jim Mora to thank; once you hit the playoffs, his offensive play calling gets as timid as Pedro in the 8th.

And don't forget Dominick Hasek in the 99 Stanley Cup finals!

Buffalo is a drinking town with a sports problem.

You guys have had a pro sports championship in very recent history, despite the well-documented drought in MLB.

But you misunderstand the mindset of Bostonians. The Pats were nice, but to us it is just above a minor league championship. If the Sox ever win that will change and we will care more about other teams. But the Pats were only okay.
