I didnt say one bad word about anyone. I just wanted those that relate to my title to have a comfortable place with no conflict.
A place to truly call their own. A place to have fellowship without
strife and debate. A place that even Christains would respect and leave well enough alone. Enjoy.

P.s.s. I wasnt picking on Jews. Some of my favorite people are Jewish. After all they do believe there is a God. Like i said, i didnt say one bad word about anyone.

Aestro, if you work you still get your holiday days off no matter what you believe. Go for it! Look at the benifits this Christian nation provides for its non-believers.

All the atheists and agnostics get to sleep in and if they dont go out or answer their phone no one will bother them with "Merry Christmas". If they do go out....all they have to do is have someone blindfold them before driving them around and they want have to view all the decorations.

If you knew anything about politically-minded people, you'd know that we love to debate. I have quite a few capitalist friends simply because they're so much fun to argue with.

Originally someone who agreed with the ideas documented in Stalin's writings (this was before his crimes were discovered). Today, someone who agrees with the Machiavellian methods he used to keep power. Now I know I'm going to receive a flame about how Lenin was an awful, power hungry, murderer. But he quite simply wasn't, as I've said before, glasnost and perestroika were based on Lenin's writings on individual rights. His avowed plan was to implement such things after the counter-revolutionary phase, unfortunately Stalin came along and screwed everything up.

Well, you're right about the flames! The Cheka secret police and concentration camps started under Lenin. IIRC, Cheka became the GPU, then the NKVD, then KGB. Lenin's opinion on individual rights were "don't permit them". I can find all kinds of neat quotes from Lenin supporting that, if you want. USSR wasn't a workers paradise that Stalin screwed up.

Jeff, you may find yourself more enlightened if you stop looking for everything exactly as it has been described to you. Lenin said he wasn't left wing, in fact, he wrote a famous book on the subject "Left wing" communism, an infantile disorder. That was because in that time and place, left wing had a different meaning. So did "individual freedom". Some things that would be described as individual freedoms today were supported by Lenin. Glasnost, in a stable country, is one of them.
