Array New Italian Would it be USFA legal to have an italian grip made of rubber? like a french grip, just that it has the two nifty rings out of rubber. I know that some people enjoy the italian grips, but finding them is difficult because it needs a special blade. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! Array I don't see why it wouldn't be legal. However, as someone who prefers the Italian grip, what I see here is the same problem that I have with Italian grips using a French blade and a false ricasso: you're no longer gripping the blade directly, thus you lose a little reactionary advantage there. -

Array That would be a neat idea, I think that it would get the italian in circulation, as most newbies have never seen an italian. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Array AmFence sells them. I think I'm going to buy one. Italian grips are the only ones I like. "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." -

Array I'm thinking about getting one of those italian grip Epee's.. Have to go down to my local fencing store and see if they can order one for me "One more duel would make his reputation.. young ladies would take to their smellingsalts whenever he narrowed his eyes.." - The Duellists - -

Array this false ricasso, is it a McGyver adaptation or can it be bought somewhere?
i'm thinking about buying a italian grip foil, the problem is that there are no FIE blades for italian grips.

Array The Santelli false ricassos sort of suck, seeing as they're just crushed pieces of copper piping. You can get much better ones elsewhere, though I'm not sure where.
However, I know that France-lame had some FIE Italians before they went under, so you might see if someone has those in stock. You'd have to email them, but I think that the Uhlmann Italian blades might be FIE as well. -
