l'Oreal has a new TV spot out showing some excellent point control in extracting a dab of moisturizer with the point of a foil.

Could make for a whole new training regimen

For several months, every time I drove to practice I passed under a huge Verizon billboard with foilists on it. Always made me feel like I was doing what Verizon wanted. Unfortunately, the two men on the ad were usually half the foilists I saw in any given night. (Cursed epee club!)

I've got a big scrapbook filled with fencing in advertising clips. Old magazine ads, postcards, tobacco cards, articles from early 1900's etc. I find it quite interesting the divers products that use fencing as a marketing vehicle. Everything from wristwatches to office equipment, gasoline to tires, mimeograph ink to lingerie to booze to floorwax to stamp collecting. And let us not forget shaving cream! The Barbasol Ads are my favorite. "You have me off guard with that Barbasol face!"

So. If anybody has any print media that uses fencing as their catch line, I'd be interested in seeing, owning or recieving as a gift. (he smiles hopefully)
