| Leon Paul Contour fit Mask I was wondering if anyone has or has used one of these. I'm thinking of buying one and there is only 2 reviews on it. Was wondering if anyone has had any bad exp with one, or is it really the most comfortable mask anyone has ever made? |

| I haven't tried them personally, but I saw a few at a recent tournament.
The wearers seemed to be adjusting them constantly, but maybe that was just a nervous tick they had every time they came up against me |

| It's very comfortable, and feels much lighter than a normal mask when you wear it. I very much like it and doubt I'll go back to a mask with a conventional metal tongue.

| I've tried one on and it will probably be the next mask I purchase when my old one breaks down. They are comfortable and do not feel quite right intially, but if you bout with it for about 30 minutes you wish it is the only one you had ever purchased.

| I've had one for about 6 months now and I love it. It's far more comfortable than the Uhlmann FIE I replaced with it.

| It was a bit weird not having the metal tongue thing to hold onto when carrying the mask, but as far as how well fits on the noggin, which is what really counts, I have to say it's quite nice & snug. I feel more secure in the contour-fit mask.

The Vision 2000 comes with the contour fit system as standard
The picture shows the old style, but they've changed production so that the Vision 2000 is contour fit now.

| So, if you have a Contour Fit mask and you haven't entered a review, Do it Now!!! http://www.fencing101.com/reviews/ce...ails&itemid=76
You'll need to enter your forum ID and password to submit your review. (Yeah, I know, but it's a different program and I'm not smart enough to fully integrate them.)
If you have other products, submit your reviews of them also. Your fellow fencers will thank you.
Cheers,

| Do you mean that it feels like a bed that is just TOO comfy, I have toruble sleeping in those, so I can see that a mask could be the same, epecially is youre gonna sleep in it.

| THe LP mask is excellent. Most comfortable mask I've ever used. Excellent fit, no pressure points and excellent protection from the bib.
Only complaint? It's a bit warmer than my old Negrini FIE mask.

| Not for everyone I tried out a friend's LP Contour fit mask for a couple bouts and found it certainly lighter than other masks. However the borrowed mask didn't fit particularly well and I didn't want to mess with all my friend's velcro settings.
I was sufficently impressed with the concept and lightness that I set out to buy my own LP Contour Fit if I could get a good fit. Unfortunately despite a goodly amount of trials and adjustments, I just couldn't get a comfortable fit. I have no problems with getting Allstar and Negrini masks to fit well, but the shape and design of the LP was different enough to cause problems for me. |

| I've read PKT's review and I noticed the problem mentioned about glasses hitting the inside of the mask?
Does anyone else have this problem, or a solution to it? I've been using a blue gauntlet 3 weapon mask (I fence foil), size large, that fits over my glasses (including the old pair with larger frames), but without glasses the medium fits better. With glasses, the corners of the frames scrape the mask every time I move.
Do any other manufacturers have masks that are sized slightly differently? I don't necessarily need something FIE rated for my level of competition (high school), just to 350N, although I might buy something better if it fit.
Thanks. |
