RANT! pick a subject.

Ok, this could be fun and it could get nasty but lets try it anyway.
What could happen? Worst case scenerio.....Craig steps in....shuts us down. It would be expected....should we get out of hand.

Here's the deal. Pick a subject and RANT! It can be something that just makes your blood boil. It can be about anything. Well,
anything that we are allowed to discuss on this board...so keep that in mind. A personal issue about relationships..example:something a person does that just drives you nuts. A fencing situation or scenerio........directors......coaches
other fencers......bystanders.........etc.
It could be a movie star you dont like for some reason or a politician etc. Remember sarcasism doesnt translate well in text.
So dont make it personal with anyone on the board, Please!

allow me to go first

Well, here goes!

I absolutely cannot stand women who eat in bed. Loud darn
crunchy food while youre either trying to sleep or read. Celery is the worst. Not to mention the aftermath of crackers. Its much worse than sand in your shoes. At least when youre on a picknic
or the beach you expect some hardship like the ants up your pants or the fly in your pudding but not in the bed. The bed is the reclining throne located in your castle. It should be respected as a place of peace and quiet. No puns here guys. It shouldnt be desacrated with the loud disrepecting crunching of a female who loves eating on her back. It cant be good to eat horizontal....wouldnt it tend to create a second stomuck? So i cant spell stomuch....get over it. Geting over it i did. I now tell any woman, girl, female, member of the opposite sex that i absolutely deplore eating in bed. Theres an old saying that goes way back...
goes something like this...." i wouldnt kick her out of bed for eating crackers" Well, thats bull...larky! she should be kicked out
of the Bed, the house, the neighborhood, the state. the country and into a third world country where 12 people eat AND sleep in the same bed. Then maybe shed appreciate the formality of the dinning room ,the relaxed compromise of popcorn on the couch or
the causual atmosphere at the kitchen bar for breakfast. Food and the bed dont mix. No kinkyness.....keep this clean.
im done.

disclaimer: im sure there are women out there that have experienced this. So please dont take this as a direct attack on the female
population . Both sexes have their habits.

hmm... *LOL* Never thought about that. Food in bed makes a mess, but popcorn and a movie while sprawled on the bed is all good... Remind me to avoid men and food in my bed, it sounds like a lethal combination.

My rant? I'm SICK and tired of working with the slob I work with. This man cannot do ANYTHING to save his soul, complains about "poor me, I have no money" yet eats out EVERY DAY and just randomly goes on vacation whenever he wants, of comp time he FALSIFIED his time cards to get. He spends all day sitting in front of his computer changing the litle colored boxes in Excel (Which he doesn't know how to use). THEN he complains about not having time. He fills the lab up with crap he can't fit into his car or house, and every time we clean up the lab so there are counters to work on, he has to randomly stick useless stuff there. AAAAGGGHHH!!!!

He says he can't do field work because he has diabetes (sp?) and is overweight. But he goes through a couple of candy bars and a bunch of regular Mt Dew a day. He tells us how "oh, yeah, it would be nice to have time like you do to go run or walk" but he just goes home and watches TV. I don't get it.

He's bloody nosey, won't leave you alone, pretends to know everything about anything, and he doesn't. He messes everything up and makes life hard for the rest of us, and THEN he attempts to "fix it" by doing what we told him to do in the first place. And tells us it was his "great idea", like he just cured cancer. He then decides he's so much better than the rest of us, claiming we're not "hard working tax paying citizens", yet WE'RE the ones out doing the field work, the lab work... everything.

And *sniffle* he's really scarry when he drives, and you fear for your life.

And now I'm really done.... wow... I just posted that?

I HATE it when people just rant on and on about some stupid useless thing that nobody cares about. Can't they just suck it up and deal? I mean, who friggin' cares about those little things enough to get angry? It just makes my blood boil. Every time I read a multiparagraph polemic against some triviality, I just wanna strangle the nincompoop who wrote it. Can't these people just be pleasant and happy for once? ARRRGH! Angry people just tick me off. Sheesh. Then not only do they have to be angry, but they have to post some long diatribe about it on a public board... oh, and I hate people who use ellipses, too... hosers.

*lol* Arcon, that sounds like something I'd love to see.

Actually, my job could be far worse. I get to work a lot of my own hours, and I can still fence. And I like elipses... a lot... if you ever caught that.

I'm still laughing over this image of some stunning, scantily clad female leaning over lovingly and crunching celery in some poor, unsuspecting male's ear.

Office Space is a great movie. Makes me laugh everytime. And I believe the stapler guy's name is Melvin.

I Can't Stand It! when someone tells you that they will give you 24 hr, promised service and then every other week your phone line goes dead because the stupid workers don't really know what they're doing, they just pretend.
Which then makes you call their 1-800 number because they don't have a local number oh no, you have to call all the way out to Washington or somewhere like that On your Cell Phone which they wont even reemberse you for oh no. Then you spend twenty minutes just pushing buttons in order to talk to a human being that is not recorded, then you have to spend thirty minutes telling them your problem where they ask you 'are you calling from your home phone?' to which you reply 'No I'm not calling from my home phone! That's the phone that's dead!' and then you find out that they cant fix your problem, and they patch you through to someone else.
You do the above all over again only this time it takes you forty minutes because this guy is stupider than the last one.

Then you say 'I just want to know how soon you can come out here and fix this' to which they reply 'We can have someone out there within twentyfour hours' which you know is a lie, but you let them put your complaint through and hang up. They're supposed to call you back within that 24hr period to let you know when someone's coming out there, because someone in your household has to be home while they're fixing it. and like you're going to be able to help them. If you knew what you were doing then you wouldn't have just waisted 24hrs trying to get them to come do it.

The claim they've fixed it, leave, you go and check and it ends up that yes you phone works. Only to find one week later that it is dead again, and you are forced to repeat the above process and to think about which service you want to switch to because you are just SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!

Have a nice day!

My list is WAY to long

My most recent rant:

What's up with Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving? I went shopping on 11/2 and they were playing Christmas music and had decorations up. They should wait until D E C E M B E R ! ! ! On Halloween I went to a big 24 hour grocery/ pharmacy/ clothing/ hardware/ music/ etc. store (ok, around 8 pm) to look for last minute custom details, and they didn't have anything; but they had Christmas cards! It's just wrong. Think about it, the stores are complaining about holiday sales are low and affecting the earnings of the company, but if they would start selling their crap during the standard holiday time period then they would have more sales and earnings, driving the stock price up.... Now, their sales are diluted by another month.

I'm now boycotting Meijers and Structure LTD for being idiots.

Dude. Chill.

I realize this is the spirit of the thread, to complain, but I've got to agree with Dan H. - there are a whole crapload of people out there who have things a lot worse than all of you, so suck up and deal.

yes, the spirit of this thread is to RANT! So all we have to do is keep it clean. You may get as RANTY as you like. Some people get a bit frustrated and on edge when the holiday season approaches. This could be good therapy.
So, if youd like............turn up the volume.

the right

Ok, here goes again.

Most of the time im a positive realitively happy person but when i
cop an attitude and feel bad its my right to do so. What right does anyone have to tell me to "have a nice day" if I dont want to have one. Its my decision to feel bad I should be allowed to enjoy it, dwell on it, have a pity party ,take a mental health day, whatever it takes to get it out of my system. If someone gets in the way then they can just move over and get the h-- -away from me. If theyre a friend they'll understand and forgive ya. If they dont know you, then they wont care. People that claim to be happy all the time are in denial or lying. They should embrace their
bad attitude, enjoy the anger, feel the pain of iritation, to the 9the degree. When they're happy the contrast will make them appreciate it more. Does the sun shine every day? NOOOOOOO!Does it rain on your parade at different times in your life? Yesssssssss
Personally i enjoy rainy days. Its a good day to read, Do some
research. Play on the computer ,write letters, watch a movie....or just be in a bad mood and do nothing. Leave me alone when i cop
an attitude. Go have your own NICE DAY.
ok, Im done again.

hmmmmm ranting and ppl are actually willing to listen....
well here goes...
this isnt really rant-y but its something thats really been annoying me lately.
i hate it hate it HATE IT! that there is always that one person that ruins everything. this one person who just cant get over his/herself and ruins everyone elses day. You try to be a good person and be diplomatic and try to help people, and then theres this person. He comes along and talks s*** about people(who usually turns out to be your friends) and makes you feel like a total idiot which is in my opinion the worst feeling in the world. and then you try to do something nice for someone and they mock you for it. THEY MOCK YOU FOR BEING A GOOD PERSON!and you have to just deal with this person because for one reason or another youre stuck with them for at least some amount of time during the day and you try to be civil so that doesnt work. then you try to get back at them for some of the s*** they said and they only make you look like more of an idiot. and of course this continues until your fragile ego is completely crushed and when you finally get away from the person or persons theres nothing left but this crazy, untrusting mess.

The world would be such a better place without this person. people wouldnt be afraid to be themselves. they wouldnt be afraid of being shunned for doing random nice things for people. if you are this person, or know this person... well then theres just something wrong with you. ok maybe that was rant-y
wow didnt think i would really post this

better

Tigerlily86, that was good. The situations not good but its good
you got it off your chest. The only thing that i can say to you that might make you feel better is this: "common sense is not so common". You must consider the source when you think and deal
with this person. I hadnt intented on giving any advise after these rants. That would be an entirely different thread but i felt i should respond to yours because you seem to have a caring spirit. Dont let negative, destructive people dampen that spirit of yours. Positive can defeat negative. Good can win over bad.
This is just one person. Athough the world in full of them. Im sorry
we cant send them to another planet. It would make life easier but then we wouldnt have the need to be in this thread, would we?
take care
thanks for posting
