    RANT:

I hate the fact that I am so passionate about fencing that I don't have room, financially or emotionally, for any other passions. Ladies, you're SOL.

So I'll rant. I feel I could use one right now, and since we all want this thread back on track lets go.

Or something very much like that.

So why is it someone decides it is great and proper manners to make themselves into the raincloud of doom over the Christmas season? To their own family? And how can people tell you to "just ignore" them, when others in the family are getting yelled at? Hard to ignore an authoratitive figure wanting responses. You didn't have to LIKE the season, just not step on the rest of us.

And what is it that I'm so often surounded by shallow people. And that to them, I'll never have depth? Do people just not see beyond the exterior, or not know that most people have one? I know I appreciate the few people I have that make such a difference in my life. But has humanity really come to "have a merry Christmas, here's your present that I'm obligated to get you because I give everyone a present, and it was on sale. I didn't know what to get you so have this, whatever the heck my secretary picked out, I know you'll act like you enjoy it."

Whatever happened to the thought that you'd like to show people you love how you feel. That you look for, or create, something that you believe THEY specifically would like?

And WHY is my driveway 300 feet of ice, and WHY didn't I have the guts to stand up at the Return on the King and ask, as Frodo is covered in webbing, "How much silly string do you think THAT took??"
Some say you should not tempt fate: I say fate should not tempt me!

    Bravo!

    Good Rant.

So far today, im rantless. I guess this could be considered a positive state but then again the days not over yet and ...hey! im still typing. Anything could happen here.

I know ... i just thought of something.

Those new lights on cars. I say new. Im not sure how long theyve had them. You know the ones that look like the sun is coming down the road at you. They are pure white. And when the person has their lights on bright you cant see the inside of your own windshield. Its not..."Wheres the road?". its where is your sight? I nearly ran a redlight the other day due to one of these idiots and his/hers bright lights. Obviously i didnt and couldnt see the gender(or the redlight). What made it worse this time. Yes, its happened more than once. I was on a Motorcycle.
I wonder if i could have a very power pellet gun mounted on the front of my bike. When i encounter these(portable suns) id could just zero in on the headlites and do myself and all other drivers a favor. PING ...PING... aaaaaaaa, now i can see.

Not really- I mean, if its a full face caked on, its definetly overkill.Heck, I've seen a girl who got so sweaty that it looked like she had tie-dye smeared all over! But if kept to the minimum AND its waterproof, then why not?

Ifortier: I mean, you COULD get it waterproof, but WHY??? I guess I just don't understand the need to wear it while fencing. Of course, why NOT wear it might also be asked. I always thought the fencing look (you know, hair soaked with sweat, mussed up, face a little red, a sudden collapse on the piste at the end of the bout ) was fine.

Arcon: YES, YES, YES! I highly dislike thinking "OMG, the road is straight, the road is straight, the road is... where IS the road? Agh, GO BY ME ALREADY!!!"

Can I also rant and ask why NewYears had to be so close to Christmas, that its STILL unsafe to go to the store? I just wanted *holds out hand* a bit of milk, sir, and some bread. But the store *Starts to sniffle* its so full, Sir, I just can't get to the bread isle.

Actually, I bravely fought my way about the grocery isles of Walmart, and to the "express" lane, which isn't. I was glad to make it out of there alive! *laughs*

Maybe we should stock up- you know, like a terrorist attack was gonna hit and we'd be standed without food- so there's no need to go to the store from about December 1st to January 5th, or so?

    some women

Ok, this rant is not nice. If youre easily offended...STOP HERE!

Women with no butts shouldnt wear tight jeans. Its awful looking. Dont they know this...?and to wear them with those diamond like little chains hanging aroung their waist is like drawing attentention to the deficiet. Not to mention bleached blond hair and sporting a pair of mirrow sunglasses which im sure is thought to look cool while looking down the barrel of that Marlborough cigerette. As i walked by i wanted to say - where are the Hells Angels? Are they picking you up here? Can you believe that (here) was in front of a Beauty Saloon. For this woman to be standing in front of one was a contradiction in terms. Someone needs to kidnapp her and force her to do a makeover.
Well, it would be kind of hard to fix the butt thing but(no pun intended) she should be forced to wear a long blouse with a tie or belt at the waist thus producing a slight bulge in the rear, creating the illusion of a seemingly well proportioned back side.
Replace the sunglasses with non mirrow lenses-take her cigerettes from her and put a cig patch on her aaaa . Well never mind

(might be easier to find another place)

Another rant, inspired by our "lovely" posters, Foil=Gay and Dancer5050; I just absolutely HATE it when ignorant people decide they're bored so they must post about how stupid fencing is-nevertheless they have their minds set in stone so they can piss and go after others. Not to mention they base their beliefs on how the sport looks, yet insist that they are soooo right. Has anyone had trouble with theese kind of ppl on the site lately?

    Men

I get along with men better than most women. I have always been this way - I guess it's because women are more competitive than men when it comes to the "power" thing. I think this applies to careers more than anything else. Also women are more jealous than men. I fiercely believe this. I have always thought that women can be more violent when it comes to jealousy. Women always try to be the best, the most beauiful. Men, on the other hand, (most men) are more honest about their feelings and know their limitations. I'm not against trying to be the best you can be, but there is a line that must not be crossed when it comes to being civilized! Most of my best friends in my life have been men and I know I can always count on them to be there for me if I ever need anything.

    BIG FREAKIN' RANT:

I absolutely detest the "my blade is better than your blade because" arguments. It seems that a lot of threads just seem to digress that way, but they're absolutely pointless and a waste of time.

People like different blades. You aren't better than anyone else. Get over it, scalawag.

FoilyGeezer: oh, you made me about choke on my tea. I'm here minding my own buisness browsing threads, and take a sip, and the Isle of Bread is suddenly dead ahead. *blushes* well... score one for you.

Rant: WHY, WHY, WHY is it like clockwork that everything that would like to break does it at once? My poor pickup is starting to resemble frankenstein. I'm sorry, but defrost is necessary in this part of the country. Wish my truck agreed.

I hate it. You're driving down the road thinking "I think thats the white line, dear God, tell me thats the white line... where'd the ROAD?"

Oh, so then you get one that you can run off the cigarette lighter plug, and what happens? THAT dies. Its not a fuse, its not a wire as far as we can tell... AAAGGGHHH!!!

And why is there never enough time for kids? Why is it that we've always got time to grumble about all the trouble they cause and all the times they've decided to fight with one another today? But we don't have time to tell them a story at bedtime, or read to them when they ask. Why? Because we're too busy being "annoyed" with them, for something they did before.

Kids don't deserve that. I'm tired of the way they get brushed off because we've got it in our minds that we're going to pout. I don't want them remembering that. I want them to remember jumping on the bed, and getting to create a story at bedtime, and sneaking down for "after bedtime snacks" and things like that.

    This year

Ok, the newness of the year is finally beginning to wear off.
Its time to rant again. Ok...I cant seem to find anything to rant about. Well, i could rant about the fact that we need something different. Everythings been done. All of the scandals are the same the names are the only thing that change.
Try to write something with a unique plot. Its impossible. Everythings been done. Life is an entire "Ground Hog Day". If youre not careful youll step in the same pot-hole everyday.

As a matter of fact im sure someone has written something similar to this before and im no longer inspired to continue.

All you need is love, love, love. Love is all you need. LOL

You call into question the very foundation of humanity, whether or not it is possible to be creative. I believe you can. Without creativity there would be no advances in science and technology.

Thinking about something that has been thought of before, in a different way, is being creative.
