    Winter Training Camps

I have a couple of students that are interested in attending an intensive training camp while on break in the Christmas/New Year's timeframe. I have informational fliers for the camps hosted by Fencing Academy of South Jersey and Northwest Fencing Center. Does anyone have any experience with either of these camps? Would they be appropriate for experienced intermediate (D/C level) collegiate fencers? Are they primarily focused on cadet/junior fencers or is there more of a mix?

Does anyone have other camps that they could recommend? Just given who I'm looking for the information on behalf of, Northeast or Mid-Atlantic (ie driving distance from Western Mass.) camps are likely to be more useful.

Anyone have any information about the Rochester Winter Camp?

    Thanks.

    SJ Camp

The camp at Fencing Academy of South Jersey is good for intermediate and higher level fencers. You can attend the whole time or part. The FASJ has a very good reputation and the camps they have had so far are excellent. Most of the fencers are junior or senior high school age. FASJ currently has fencers on the top of the foil and saber Junior's and Cadet's points list. The academy has also and has a few good epee fencers. The new epee coach had received a Silver medal in the Olympics several years ago. The coaching staff consists of two former Olympians and a very good basic fencing coach. FASJ has two high school fencers with an "A" one in foil and one in saber and several fencers with their B and C ranking. Mr. Ma the owner and coach is a very fair and kind coach.

I've done parts of the FASJ camp (I can't keep up the pace for the whole time without wearing out essential parts of my body) and it's a good program.
