Veteran yet? regarding recent discussions: Last month I turned 40. Can i now compete in Veteran's competitions, or do I need to wait until I renew my card with the USFA? -

Array According to the age criteria for division and section qualifying competitions for summer nationals, as long as your birth year was less than or equal to 1960 you can compete. You don't have to wait for your card. You won't get a new card for turning 40; they save that for earning new ratings or renewing your membership.
I don't think, though, that you qualify this year if you're just turning 40 now; I know that I'm not officially 50 for competitive purposes until next year, even though I turn 50 in August. Similar Threads -
