| About Rankings I found a few months ago webpages about a kind of ranking which I found interesting.
I put it in my bookmarks, but when my computer crashed, I lost it. I tried to search with google with keywords I thought to remember, but without success. If you can help me to find it again...
The principle of the ranking was to decrease the weight of elder results. For example, if the results are older than 13 weeks, the points were multiplied by 0.8, older than 26 weeks, multiplied by 0.6, and older than 39 weeks multiplied by 0.4, those older than 1 year disappeared.
I can't exactly remember the periods for the decreasing (even if I think they were 13, 26,39 and 52 weeks), nor the factor of decreasing, but the aim of this new type of rankings was to give more importance to sooner results than to elder ones, but keeping to consider these elder ones.
On this pages, there was the explanation of this idea, and charts to illustrate it.
I am quite sure these pages were made by a US guy.
(I just corrected "multiplicated" by "multiplied")

Multiplicated, you say? Hmmm... | Yes, e.g. if we take FIE scale, the runner-up of a A-grade earns 26 points, and after 13 weeks, it remains only 26 * 0.8 = 20.8 pts

Multiplicated, you say? Hmmm... | Yeah, let's pick on the English verbs of French-speakers. And then let's steal lollipops from babies and push little old ladies in front of traffic.
On a related note
That's a good way to give favor to newer results, but still has problems for organizing the darned thing. |

| Yes, but the webpages I am looking for accurately explain the system, with charts.
I really want to find it, because i am very interested in this idea.

| Hi!
I just did a google search based on your description. At the limit of 10 search words I still got 62,000 hits!
Can you think about more specific words appearing on the webpage, especially those that seldom appear together?
BTW1: The topic of rating/ranking has been discussed at length on fencing101, often with more passion than is good for one´s digestion. You might want to look over old posts in the archive before diving in.
BTW2: Your English is perfectly understandable, far better than mon Francais! When I read spelling chidings I get the urge to post a long tome in Swedish - should teach them!
Have a nice time!
