| Hahaha, I've done that... One of my friends there was doing TKD forms. Quite amusing to watch, as I am told, but only if you know what you're looking at/for. |

| If you threw out your car-jack & spare tire to make more room in your trunk for another couple of helmets... you might be addicted to fencing.
When your microwave beeps, and you instinctively look for the red light to go off, you might be addicted to fencing.
When you wrap body cords around your tree at Xmas time...
If you've ever started a 'broken blades' pile/shrine/graveyard...
If you've ever brought a case of bottled water for yourself, and a case of guiness for the armorers...
If you've ever skipped/been late to work/class/lamaze/chemotherapy because you wanted 'just one more 5 touch bout'...

| You might be adicted to fencing when: you actually think you look good in knickers.
You might be adicted to fencing when: you no longer notice that you have a crotch strap, and then think... "its kinda cool, yeah!" |

| - During a fight, you throw a punch and then disengage the block (with your arm fully extended).
- You watch Star Wars and think, "I could take Darth Vader."
- You refer to sidewalks as "strips." (conveniently pre-lined)
- You find walking difficult (saberists)
- You're on a date and your first reaction to physical contact is "corps-a-corps!" (except in epee)
- Somebody holds out their hand to shake and your first reaction is to figure out ways of getting around it and poke them in the chest. |

| Someone offers to shake hands and you shake with your non-weapon hand. I did that once at the office. |

| -when all of your friends hate you at lunch cause you say "i want to go fence!" too often...
-when your halloween plans included, no, not going out with friends and having fun, but going to the club even though you knew damn well all the people there would be adults that could clean the floor with you...
-When your idea of a fun or exciting friday/weekend includes fixing all of your equiptment, or taking it apart and reassembling it, just to see what the insides look like...
-when you see someone in the hallways at school, and they put their hand out for a high five, and you hold your arm straight out and fleche past them...
-when your full wardrobe includes tourney shirts or other fencing shirts, and everything else you cover up with a fencing sweatshirt..
-when your full christmas list has fencing gear on it..

| You know you're addicted to fencing when you can't understand why anyone would say fencing is boring to watch.
Or when you'd rather spend money on new fencing equipment rather than new clothing.
Or when you wait in line with your feet in fencing stance. Everybody else thinks this is weird. You do not.

| you might be addicted to fencing if...you're online at fencing sites instead of doing homework, then go to sleep and dream about fencing (not the coach, the actual fencing ), then go to school and day dream about fencing and new strategies, then go to fencing meets after school, then go to the club and fence, and then do it all over again...
im hoping im not the only person who's this into it.

| it does seem fun to try..but being a freshman, id get all the strange looks and be branded "that one with the funny walk" for life..plus the fact that itd be more like *sticks arm out* *step....step.....step....*
schools are too overcrowded, i say..if you cant flunge in the hallways, or down stairs, its no good.
