Array honestly, i haven't been to too many concerts but my favorite 2 are blur and jimmy buffett. blur has been my favorite band since about 4th grade (a long time ago) and i saw them this summer. i knew all the words to all the songs...it was great. just fun, because there were probably about 100 real fans like me there, and the atmosphere was cool.
speaking of atmosphere, jimmy buffett was suberb. absolutely crazy! if you've been to one of the concerts, you will know what i am talking about. everyone gets dressed up in hula skirts, coconut bras, leis, swimsuits, shark fins, and all that jazz. the music is fun, and so is the crowd. "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months."
"Women have a much better time than men in this world. There are far more things forbidden to them." -

Array Well, you see, Handel was conducting the inaugural performance of his "Surprise" Symphony, and---
Oh, wait, did you mean ones we'd seen personally? -

Array 3 Doors Down was awesome. The loudest part was when their lead singer dedicated "When I'm Gone" to all the deployed US troops (this was pre-Iraqi Freedom). The music was great, and you could tell the band was actually greatful for the fans, not just acting like, "well, of course you're here, we're so cool". Linkin Park was kind of like that, and it made me mad.
The crowd was really good at 3 Doors Down, too - just little things like smokers blowing it straight up in the air, so it would go over everybody's heads, instead of into their faces.
The band also took a break in the middle to "introduce" their new drummer, new since the last tour - nearly ten minute drum solo, very good.
Probably one of my favorite parts was when they had the crowd sing back "Away from the Sun", holding the microphone out over us - we were apparently only the second crowd ever to do that for them, and you could tell it meant a lot to the band. -

Array Best Concert has to be the Magnetic Fields playing all 69 love songs in 2 days at the Lincoln Center in NYC. I flew up there from Miami to see it. Best show / venue ever. -

Array Kiss probably does the best show I've ever seen. Sir Paul McCartney was phenomenal. Ringo put on a good show this past summer. After all the hoopla I'd heard about Santana, I was geeked to see him this past summer. It was the worst concert I'd ever seen or heard. Shoulda fired the sound guy on the spot. If you didn't see the guy pantomiming with the microphone, you'd have thought it was an instrumental concert only. Couldn't hear a word that was sung, and Carlos' guitar was barely audible at many points of the show.
Did I mention that Kiss rocks the house? -
Pearl Jam, Lalapalooza without a doubt some of the best stuff ever. I worked security at Walnut Creek in Relaigh NC. I've seen some great concerts and had so much fun. Stevie Nicks did a great job. Oddly enough a lot of the more local bands at city fest and summer fest have put on some of the best stuff I've seen. They're just so happy to be there their energy is great.
Dave Mathews brings some of the best vibes to a concert people are just happy to be there. Everybody knows all the words if you haven't seen him don't miss out.

Array Dave Matthews is one creepy guy! -
Why would you think that? I've met him in person and think he is a nice down to earth person. -

Array I'm sure he is, and I've never met him myself. However, seeing him in person he's extremely creepy looking, and when he laughed at one point in the concert I went to, it gave me shivers and brought up images of mad scientists. I don't mean to say anything of his personality, etc., just his appearance and voice.
