While I am making the club buy dies for the tang threads i figure we might as well get ones for the tip threads.

Can someone tell me what sizes these are? I assume they are metric.

3.5 mm-0.6 for foil, 4.0 mm-0.7 for epee. You aren't likely to find them at the local hardware store. If you don't go through a fencing vendor, try www.micromark.com or www.mcmaster.com .You'll need to get a smaller die stock for them, too-- they won't fit into a stock sized for 12-24 or 6-1 dies.

And don't bother to try it. You will more likely screw up the tip threading than making it work. A hint: stick a piece of (appropriately sized) paper clip into the groove to make the tip complete. Otherwise, you'll never get anywhere and you'll ruin the die as well.
