Array Have a buddy with you who knows what he/ she is doing. Could be a coach, but usually a friend. (coaches usually have a lot to deal with) -

Array Ugh.
I was 2-2 in the pool, and was eliminated due to trickery in the 2nd round. There were about 11 people.
In my final match, it was 10-3, the other guy. I was wondering what the hell was going on. I ask the director to test(thats another problem, we were directing each other). His right sleeve was dead. His left sleeve was dead. I saw that they were a different material. It looked like a foil lame with arms added on
He was lefty so many of my attacks were on the arm. -

Array Indeed.
And dont let people with funny looking lames fence. -
Unconfirmed
Array So you're saying his lame' was lame? -

Array Easiest way to tell if it was a foil lame` with arms added post-production, is if his crotch was covered in lame` material. Foil lame`.
I was fencing some spaz in a team tournament last year, and we almost lost because I dropped like 3 touches to this guy before I realized his arms were dead, and big spots on his chest. I had to crush their anchor something like 12 to 4 to win it 45-44.
After realizing all of those dead spots, the director should at least have annuled the last touch awarded. Did he? "Their interpretation is, however, refuted most elegantly by your system of radioactive atom + amplifier + charge of gun powder + cat in a box"

Array I've seen one of those lames---I think they are the "budget" model from a certain equipment vendor, not a homemade special... Similar Threads -
