Does anyone actually want to discuss Classical Fencing or perhaps
this forum would be more aptly named "Pedantic CF vs. SF Debate
Forum."
My interest is in CF. After studying for little more than a year in
a SF club, under a very good Moniteur, I lost interest in the
bouting and the modern technique that was employed. Not better or
worse than CF, just not my thing. Since there was not a CF option
for me, I stopped altogether. Being in a rural area (mid-coast
Maine) I have found it impossible to find the instruction I am
looking for--without a 12 hour round-trip to NY. My schedule does
not allow for that to happen, so I am stuck in a vacuum. I have
been lurking on this list, getting the posts for over two years but
routinely trashing them, as they are typically little more than sour
grapes and inform little regarding the subject matter at hand.
I would enjoy hearing from any CFers in New England, especially
regarding where you study and with whom. Write to me using the
following address (written phonetically to avoid spamming): paddy at
midcoast dot com.
Cheers,
Paddy
