| A friend of mine has both the jacket and knickers.
What did you want to know about them?

| Aren't they exactly the same as the Uhlmann Olympia and Allstar Startex FIE uniforms only with the addidas striping? That's what I was told...
There was another who posted on the board that seconded that opinion and even metioned that after just a few light washings the printing faded significantly. I think his opinion of them was that if you had money to burn, go ahead

| What I was wondering is are the stripes painted on or are they sewn on? If they are sewn on couldn't the blade get caught in them? |

| I have only ever seen them in person once, and that was from a few feet away. I did not fence the person in question so I had no reason to study him more than to notice he had the overpriced Uhlmann suit, but from what I could tell they were painted/printed onto the jacket somehow. If they were sown to it, it was done so well the I could not tell from a few feet away so it does not have an obvious raised seem. I would say that even if they are stitched/glued on somehow the fit is so fine that you would not have to worry about a blade snag.

| They are made by Uhlman. The stripes are screened on and will fade unless you it by handwash it in lukewarm water and Drip Dry. Also if you have the World Cup design screened on wait several wearings before washing because that will badly fade. Have one a little over a year and with proper care it still looks very white (no Yellowing)and no snags. |

Paolo | I liked them when they were new, but they fade like crazy, as another poster said. The World Cup emblem is barely visible.

| The Adidas uniform only looks good if you do epee otherwise Adidas need to make a lame with stripes going down it too. Also stripes fade big time from washing. |

| They are either owned by the same organization or person, or they are very, very closely related. The Allstar stuff is the same as the Uhlman stuff pretty much, it just says Allstar on it. . .
