Array Which lame to choose? Did a search of the boards but couldn't seem to find an answer.
I'm looking to replace my old lame (starter kit from Am Fencers). Now that I'm more committed to the sport, wanted to get a high quality lame (and willing to spend some $ to get one).
Any suggestions for high quality lames that fit someone well over six feet tall?
Any suggestions would be helpful. -

Array Are you fencing foil or sabre, and if the answer is sabre, than Infitnity all the way infinity electronics
If its foil...then I'm partial to the stainless steal ones, PBT,Uhlmann, Allstar, and Leon Paul are all excellent choices. Though having tried the rest of those I'm still oddly partial to Santelli. Theres nothing like a sabre in your hand to make you feel like dancing -

Array Oops. Forgot to mention that I fence foil.
Was thinking about either allstar, uhlmann or Leon Paul, so it looks like I'm on the right track.
Thanks. -
Uhlmann, Allstar, and Santelli all use the same type of stainless steel lame fabric for their vests. The main difference will be in the cut of the body: Allstar tends towards a more slender cut (i.e. more taper from shoulders to waist), Uhlmann a bit wider, and Santelli wider still. If your build doesn't work well with anyone's standard cut, then Santelli can send a measurement form for you to fill out and then make one custom.
