| I'm going for the underdogs this time. Cuz the Marlins have gone up the ladder like the DiamondBacks did. So that's my vote.

| Marlins because they're not the yankees, and I hate david wells and I want to punch him in the face.
In a very civilized way of course..

| Yankees because they're cute and spiffy. The Marlins look kinda geeky. For me, it's a who-fills-the-uniform better Series, because neither the Red Sox nor the Cubs is in it any more so I don't much care.

| I just don't understand how anyone could be a fan of the yankees. They always win, everything, all the time. It's come to be expected and is no thrill of surprise.
You watch them expecting to win, and get pissed if they lose, rather than another team getting excited when they win.
Being a yankees fan is like being a fan of microsoft.

Ask Don Mattingly how many times he has won everything. The poor guy suffered through a long dry spell. He retires and the yanks start winning again.
There were many years where the Yankees didn't do much.

| They are the winningest team in MLB history and professional sports history in the US. I concur with whtouche, they win too much. But the way I see it, Yankees fans from NY don't bother me in the facet that they root for the Yanks because they are their home team. Yankee fans say in MA, whose parents are from MA and root for the Yanks just cuz they win, that pisses me off. It seems almost shallow to me. Its like being a Celtics/Yanks/Canadiens/49ers fan. Rooting for a team just because they win takes away from being a true fan.
