Array USFA Marketing Materials I just went to the USFA's site looking around, and I saw this page, http://usfa.org/Documents/StrategicPlan.asp
Here's a snippet of what it said.
--------
Goals
1. To Expand Membership
Objectives:
1. To grow current club base by 50 by July 2002 through incentives, recognition, services and benefits provided.
Action Steps:
Increase communications between clubs through internet site and through interclub activities/competitions. Coordinate with PR Committee for support materials -- “Fencing in a Box.”
Provide activities for the E & U fencers to ensure inclusion in club activities.
Performance Evaluation Measure:
WWW information is developed, activities for E & U fencers are developed and PR materials are developed and disseminated by close of 2001.
(VP Domestic/Chair of Clubs/Div.Sect)
Current club base increases by 50.
(VP Domestic/Chair of Clubs, Div. Sect./Ex. Direc.)
-----------
Do these things actually exist? It seems like this was posted some time ago. Does anyone know anything about their PR materials?
It also says 1. To develop a public relations and media campaign
This supposedly was done by Aug. 2001. Anyone know anything about that?

Array I think this initiative turned into what has become a club information CD. Little more than electronic versions of the various forms and other information (Handbook, etc.) that is also available on the website. In theory these CDs should be going out to every registered club this season (they had the CDs last year, but the only distribution of them that I know about was a couple of stacks of them laid out on a table at nationals in Austin, certainly my club didn't get one before I picked one up there).
There was also a promotional video that was produced and copies were given to each section with the understanding that club could make copies of the copy that their section had. Again, as far as I can tell most of these videos just got stashed somewhere and forgotten.
Look up on the website to find who the current head of the committee mentioned (or the closest match anyway) is and email him/her to ask for an update. At the least hopefully you'll prod him/her to restart such initiatives.

Array I definitely would like to get ahold of one of these CD's. Also, I would be very interested in the promotional video too.
I'll have to try emailing someone.

Array When you do find your contact Rolls, please share it. I am also interested in the PR support materials. Similar Threads -
