I live in Carlsbad and was just looking around today on the web for an answer to the same question!
The only place I found is the Coeur du lion in Escondido.
I tried calling but no one picked up. I posted to their forum and got an good response. I also Emailed the address on the site; so far no response.
Do you fence already or are you a newbie like me? I'm pretty interested in the sport, so if you would like to discuss more you can Email me.

Considering I used to Live in San Diego:
Cour de Lion meets at a martial arts school on the weekend, so if you contacted them, you are not actually calling them, but the martial arts school. The head coach is Stuart Lee, and he can be contacted by email. I don't remember it off hand, but if you want it I can send it to you.
Also if you fence Saber there is Spartak. They are a little "south" of Escondido, but they are north enough to get to in a reasonable time. Cour de Lion meets also at Spartak's "Thursday" location. I believe you can get contact info and email addresses at www.sandiegofencing.com .
The Fencing Post is also now located in Escondido. Saul is opening a school that will be there soon, (he has the building plans, but it will likely not be open until Fall next year).

I fence at Coeur du Lion. The club meets on Sundays in Escondido and Thursdays in Rancho Penesquitas. I'm fairly new to the sport myself - only about 9 months experience - and I have had nothing but positive experiences and recommend the club highly.

If your fencing saber, spartak is one of the nicest groups of folks around. Josh Runyan is the coach, NICE GUY! his student Rami diamond just took the silver at the NAC 2.
