    NAC-A Refereeing

I was just curious about what everyone thought about the Refereeing in Overland Park this past weekend (that is, if you went and have an oppinion, good or bad).

Anyone else amused by the fact that so far only people who were actually refereeing at the event have posted in this thread?

For what its worth - Women's Div 2 sabre wasn't bad...not great... but not bad. There were some odd interpretations of the rules, but I've had worse (at least the directors for my bouts knew what a point in line was).

Of course it would have been better if certain nationally rated directors had decided to work that weekend instead of playing around in the Long Beach Open.

And who might those "nationally rated" referees be?

    Darius,
What I thought? Well, I'll have to abstain from commenting on the day that I worked, but I wasn't displeased with my refs in D2MS. I might have thought that the timing wasn't as tight as at a D1, but everyone I got was consistent and even.
I was curious because of the amount of screaming coaches seemed to be higher than I have remembered in the past- and also it seemed that the refs were observing each other more so than I have noticed in the past. Could be I just was paying more attention.
    Aaron
