Array Thank goodness! -
Hmm...I don't even know how many people are really still keeping up with this thread, but to the folks that wanted to find the PBT inox colored saber lames they've been available direct from Hungary for quite a while, couple years at least. They also have saber masks with colored bibs to match your mask, so there you go, a total set. (If you couldn't tell, I'm not against colored lames. I like them, and I think that as long as you recognize there might be some negligible risk of affecting your refs' perceptions I don't think it matters, or that they detract from the sport...I mean, we let people with colored hair in...) I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.

Array i saw them in action there the first time on the competition at the weekend, and i say i quite liked them. they looked fun, and were a nice destraction from all the grey coloured ones. Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard. BE EVIL -

now, after seeing at least 1 or 2 colored lames and masks consistently at competitions throughout the year, i'd rather they just be grey. it's the fencing that makes it interesting, not the colors. -

Array I am something of a "live and let live" type of person. As long as there is no unfair advantage gained or safety feature compromised I think a person should be allowed to be as individualistic as they want. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to get a colored Lame but that is because I like the metallic silver better. I prefer to be individualistic in more subtle ways such as my blue socks and glove. I may even get ( don't hurt me Inq ) a blue mask from Leon Paul when I can afford it. Fail until you succeed!

I don't use lamés but I think it looks great with coloured lamés. It's so much prettier than the usual old grey ones... -

It may. There is research suggesting that certain colors catch attention better and evoke particular unconscious responses in a viewer...such as a referee. The possibility is one more reason to keep both competitors looking as similar as possible. -

Array I like very much the Ice blue lames. The purpose of tactic is to conquer the enemy with proper war movements and actions.

I've sometimes got accuracy problems. I should fence against people wearing coloured lamés!! Similar Threads -
