Club in Northern Virginia Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg has all three weapons, and is ready to get to some friendly competition. It is a mainly young club, and needs some experience at tournaments, etc. If there is a club in VA, DC or MD that would like to get together for a small tournament, please contact fencing@mwc.edu . Also, if you know of any fairly inexpensive classes, in fencing, directing, coaching, armory, etc., that we could get into, or if anyone would like to offer to come teach a one-time class, please let us know! We appreciate everything! (And we'd be willing to host too, if we can!) -
Classes In regards to your question of reasonably priced fencing classes, have you ever taken a look at the Virginia Academy of Fencing in Springfield, VA. It is the World's Largest Fencing school and hosts excellent instructors for a very reasonable price. I was actually introduced to this academy through my fencing class at GMU. Coach Ryjik, the owner of the academy teaches our class as well as a class at AU. He is very learned in fencing with many titles. As far as pricing for classes goes for beginner classes I and II you can get 6 1 hour lessons for $70. Passed the beginning level classes run at $79 a month.
