[CFML] New Subscriber Introduction

Greetings to all. While attending Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas (1977-1980), I learned to fence "classical Italian style" from Maestro Russell K. Wieder. However, after graduating I stopped fencing and only recently have returned to this great western martial art.

What I didn't realize until recently, while I read fencing books from the local library, is the great difference in "sport" fencing versus "classical" fencing. My goal is to adhere the classical training and fencing tradition and to be true the teachings of Russel K. Wieder and the Italian masters before him. Long live classical fencing!
