| I was a big fan, still am. All though the dialogue is a bit slower and less intelectual, it is still an interesting enough of a show. Plus Sorkin left the foundation for this new writer, whomever he or she may be, to produce a very good show. So for now, I am still going to tune into NBC every Wednesday night at 9.

| MP - Homeless !!!! MP: I had to check in with you. {although you WERE a bit strident with me} I made it back to hawaii again.
I went through a nightmare however. I packed everything from New Orleans. Bought a ticket. Once you buy your ticket, you're committed [so should I }
Then I packed some boxes to ship here. Then i packed some bags and my friend and her husband drove me to the airport. I gave them my computer; my dining room table and chairs, my bookcase; my BED _ my brandnew-georgous-fullsize-pillowtop BED! It my my slothful thing that I had.
I was very nervous. I haven't flown in a while, and it seems like everything has changed, more negativity out there. I flew to Atlanta okay, then to Los Angeles. People, please, if you can avoid los angles, do so. It is laden with crims. I missed my flight for the first time in my personal history. I got to the gate and it closed. An old woman standing behind the counter was not "able" to do anything for me. She just tried to dismiss me like 'it's nothing'. I went downstairs, and did some serious talking with some people. Others wandered off. I went to the Hawaii Airline counter. A young, cubby girl with a great aloha smile [don't lose weight, you'll lose the dimple], looked at me for a split second and said "BOOK HER" I was hauled onto their flight and it took off. I ate. Relaxed. Deplaned. Lost luggage. Person picked me up at airport, drove to apartment. At the apartment she began to act differently. I started to panic. Holy **** who is this [ a former friend and career client of mine for a year and a mutual friend of a friend], she began ranting about how I couldnt stay there; I made a phone call to another person, she bailed me out. I found an apartment. It is incredible. The world has lost a great deal of good stuff. Can you believe the collosial and amazing nerve? To invite a friend to stay at your house for a 'month or so" and turn around and say ' you can't stay"? I found a job also, but I'm not sure how it will turn out. I went to the womens shelter and spoke to Hans about things, I couldnt stay, there's a guy there who marches around all night and frightens the women. More later.
How is everyone? Are we all still friends here? Hows EDew? What's the haps with the fencing. I found some solutions to the math homework of expression 4 using numbers that express four, I did all of them. I really miss fencing, but here's another one for you......
ALL Of my epees made it through unscathed. My jacket I have, all the rest are in boxes floating around the universe.
Please, people, my karma is attacking me enough.

| I like the show, its liberal proselytizing aside. It was better with Sorkin, and I'm very afraid that the season-ending cliffhanger storyline "jumped the shark". But hey, the original wrtiting team on "Frasier" has returned, maybe Sorkin will eventually do so too... |

or, possibly, wanted more time to do shrooms.
the 'new writer', if i remember all this correctly, is john wells, who was a former cowriter, or coproducer, or something like that.
and, i'd be able to deal with the dialogue being less sharp- but, a few things:
the characters are softer, suddenly less cynical, much less themselves all of a sudden.
"you have to get josh"--- we were all set up for the donna/josh pairing we were all wondering if would ever happen, or at least a little dramatic tension regarding josh. instead, we get a random, musicless kiss, and weird foot shots....
grrrrr....
after the baseball season closes, i'm sure epeemike will be back in full force, complaining about the west wing.... |

| I'll still watch the show, not doubt, but last wed. I was disappointed after watching because I could have been watching T2. There is something missing, and that is unfortunate. |

| inquart, I don't think anyone was trying to be superior, why are you trying to label this person - it's just a matter of personal taste, some people can't watch it, I really can't watch television anymore, I really tried but couldn't get through the 'shows' it's the so-called situation comedy thing that I burnt out on, there was one program where every single line of dialoge was a 'so-called' "one liner" each line. It was nauseating. Television has killed normal conversation, no-one knows how to talk anymore, especially wihtout fighting.
-the dialoge being less sharp is exactly what I am talking about, but lots of scripts are written by people who spend alot of time doing drugs, and beer and they're burnt out.

I took the remark about "watching someone else's life" as opposed to "living my own" as superior. |

| The axis of evil? The evil empire? Evildoers? Terrorists? Unpatriotic democrats? Thugs? Murderers? France and Germany? (It just dawned on me today that our entire foreign policy revolves around calling people we don't like or don't agree wiht us mean names. ).
Or wait, were we talking the opposite of the television version? Law and Order! |
