It was my understanding that the FIE ad hoc commission on the foil rules changes was meeting in Havana, or had already met. I was just curious if there was any news. Please -- I have no desire to start a debate on the merits of flicking again. I'm just asking if anything had been decided yet.
By the way, I used to post as goldbaker, but couldn't get my old password to work.
It seems that the consensus is the FIE will mandate a chnage in the duration of a foil hit in order to turn on the light to remove hitting with flicks.
Guess you'll have to wait till the WC is over for any meaningful press release on this matter. S'pose they're still debating ...
