RE: [CFML] Digest Number 663

Jeff,

LOL, he was just ahead of his time, now the powers that be would have us all
dress that way!

He is doing very well considering his age. Two years ago I was fencing with
him and as I made an attack he tried to retreated quickly and parry riposte.
While executing this action he fell backwards onto his hip which resulted in
it's fracture. When he fell he stopped moving and I could see he was hurt
badly so I rushed over to help him. I asked him if he was in pain and if he
thought I should call the paramedics and he replied, "forget about that I
want to know if I got the riposte!"

He has made a full recovery, still teaches, and only needs a cane to walk,
but he no longer bouts at full speed.

John

Ah, but John, did he teach you his style of fashion sense? Neil used to
come to
the Salle with pastel colored fencing outfits (canary yellow, turquoise
blue).
Oh well, it was the early '70s then and there were a lot of fashion
excesses...

Could you share with us how his health is these days?

thanks, Jeff
