| 2003 World Championships at Havana, Cuba.
The purpose of this thread is to provide links and newsbits about the 2003 World Championships who are being held in Havana, CUBA.
At the USFA website, Carla-Mae Richards, who is the USFA Director of Tournament Services, and is leading the USA delegation to Havana for the 2003 Senior World Championships is posting her daily journals. The first entry is below: http://www.usfencing.org/Misc/Journa...ournal1002.asp
The webforum esgrimaMEX.com has partially funded the trip for a coach and one of the competitors would be sending our website with photos and updates. Craig also intends to post some translated newsbits in the main fencing.net webpage. We are also planning to release high quality footing in DVD as soon as it is available.

| This excel spreadsheet has the team members registered for the Havana competition in all 6 weapons: http://www.fie.ch/download/homepage/...Havane2003.xls
It includes birthdates of the fencers participating, but not the time of their birth. Everybody was registered as having born at 00:00 hours.

Under results, they are going to have the lists of participants per weapon.

By any chance can you convert clips to AVI file (or MPEG) to keep at indexpage of your website like the ones I saw time ago. I then can download them and prepare them for distribution for Fencing net.

| Also, I haven't heard from Peter G whether he's sending tapes to me. If others have connections to make copies, go ahead and give that a try. Sending tapes all over the place isn't exactly the profession I want to do for the rest of my life.

Veeco has also offered to send me a copy from France. Since they're probably the same feed, I might distribute them as either Swedish or French versions.

| Kolobkov was one of several members of the Russian team whose flight didn't make it to Havana on time due to delays. Gottal love Air France.
Rene Roche allowed Kolobkov, Youcheve, and Boiko to compete tomorrow due to their rankings going into the event.
