Well, OK, maybe I will. In the simplest set up for most scoring boxes, you have three main items: The box itself, a pair of reels, and a pair of cords to connect the reels to the scoring box.
If the BG set is like virtually very other set I've hooked up, here's what you do.
Place the box in the center of your strip. Up on a table is nice. Connect the box to the power source--sometimes a direct plug into the wall, usually a transformer/adaptor that plugs into the wall socket, then connects with a mini=plug to the back of the scoring machine.
Put one reel at each end of the strip. Take one of the wires, and plug it into the reel. It's a three pin plug, with two pins together, one offset, so it'll be obvious how to plug the wire in. Take the other end and plug it into the scoring machine..usually in the plug opening on the same side of the scoring box as the reel. Repeat for the other reel.
Turn the machine on and push the selection button for the weapon you're fencing. Hook your fencers up and have them test, one at a time. The fencer making the test hit should have the indicator on his side light up. If it lights the other side instead, switch the cable inputs on the back of the scoring box.
Now you're ready to fence! Did that answer your question?
