Batman: Deadend

Check this out:

It's not a bad attempt at a serious movie - for a fan film.

Personally I wish they had stuck to the interplay between Batman and Joker but there you go...

Now, if the geeks out there can do quality like this for Star Wars, Aliens, Predator et al then why don't we get something similar done fencing?

Discuss.

I've seen this before. The production values and shot arrangements seem impressive, but the script is somewhat funky. I felt that the Joker should have worked on his line delivery a bit more, but otherwise I thought it was okay if you don't take it too seriously.

I'm all for little fencing snippits simmilar to this Batman film. I don't see why one wouldn't be created with the increasing availibility (ie, cheapness, or so I've heard) of higher-quality equipment.

Gav- Just out of curiosity, where did you find that video?

A friend told me to go look at it.

I agree that the script was a bit daft - and in fact I did like the Joker-Batman bit best - but for a fan film it is very good.

After I got the recommendation (he tried to email it to me but the email got refused) I did a google and located it.

On the same site there is a piece called 'Blood and Steel' aka the fencing scene from the Princess Bride done with Light Sabres. I found it very funny - especially the bloopers.
