Hey: everytime I try to log into chat, it goes thru the whole process, brings up the chat window, then tells me I have an invalid username.

Any idea how to fix that?

maybe try typing in something different at the top for your nickname?

I think if you use the java chat it automatically gives you the nickname "unregistered". If someone else is already logged in with that as their nick/username the network services are probably keeping you locked out. Just change it before you login. You don't have to register anything unless you want to reserve your nickname.
