Array Aye, luck to all of you. Climb into your basements, board up your floors, and get a few good books "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory." - George S. Patton -

Array Thanks!
Lost power this morning around 1130, got it back around 830pm. Browned out for a few minutes several times since then. Had one power spike that fubared my other computer (irrecoverable corruption in windows, required reinstallation).
Fair amount of downed trees, high winds, average rain. Little flooding. Not that bad overall here in Raleigh.
Fire trucks still going by every few hours, but the worst seems to be over. Not sure how well the coastal areas fared yet, or places east of here.
Virginia is getting smacked around a bit tonight too I think.
On behalf of the NC fencers, thanks for the thoughts and wishes : )

Array Did anyone else hear that the Red Cross doesn't have the money to fully support after Isabel? Apparently they blew a Lot of their money on 9/11, and are getting kicked for it. Anyone else hear anything about it? "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory." - George S. Array Well, they say that with age comes wisdom, so for my birthday I decided to dispel that silly notion and took off across the state of Virginia as the storm hit to go stand at a football game in the middle of the storm! Rained the entire game and haven't been that cold or wet in decades. Got back home and with the exception of a few trees down in the neighborhood nothing serious. However, two miles away, Olde Town Alexandria was flooded along the Potomac. And then theide went out so everone started cleaning up and guess what? THE TIDE CAME BACK IN AND RE-FLOODED EVERYTHING!!!
