[CFML] French duels/need help with translation

I am translating some official accounts (proces-verbaux) of 19th
century duels from the French. Most of the material is easy
enough, but there are some specific descriptions of the fencing
that I want to be sure I get right.

If anyone can help me with this, I will e-mail them the original
French sentences and my best efforts to translate them. It is not
a great deal of text. I can pay (modestly) for the service.

Thank you,
Paul Kirchner
