    Tournament Venders

I just wanted to share a bit of info with all those out there who buy equipment directly from venders. At the Reno event, they had some really good deals, one of which I took advantage of, I got FIE Allstar knickers for $105. Normally priced around $200 so, if you are in the market for gear, it may be better to hold out for bigger events as you can usually get a much better price than going directly to the vender.

You'll also find better deals at the last big event at the end of the year (for those companies that do their books on a calendar year basis) and at Nationals. They're more likely to cut deals at those times to get the revenue booked.

Also, if you can buy in bulk (several blades, or several pieces of equipment), the vendors are more likely to cut you a deal - so go in on an order with your team members if you can.

    Cheers,
    Craig

You also save on shipping. I try to do my equipment purchasing at big events whenever possible---even when it isn't mandatory because my mask just failed equipment check...
Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you!

You get less selection but if you wait till the last day of the event you can get better prices too. They don't want to have to ship stuff back.
