| Obscure Quotes Earn a star sticker next to your name by guessing the origin of my obscure quotes!
I'll start things off with a few:
"I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon, see if I don't!"
"Klaatu barada nicto"
"average airspeed....." |

| Two stars for mollusk! Good job. Most people attribute the klattu quote to Army of Darkness (which was paying tribute to the old sci fi movie).
Note: quotes are not all necessarily from movies.

| I later "Googled" the first quote, so I now know where it comes from. I don't think that is in the spirit of the thread, though. |

| Hrm, why not? It is an obscure quote. I know a lot of people that can recite the whole bit and all I have to say is "vogon poetry". Maybe its too obscure.... |

| The full quote:
"Oh freddled gruntbuggly thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.
Groop I implore thee my foonting turlingdromes.
And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
see if I don't! "
- Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz
If you have never read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, you should. Please, dont judge the book by the poem. It is one of those classics that everyone should read. Very funny and witty as hell.

| Here are some of may favorite quotes, although not particularly obscure. There is a thematic element that ties them together.
"The police are not there to create disorder!
The police are there to preserve disorder."
"We have been childhood friends all of our lives."
"To higher and higher platitudes."
Those that aren't of the Veteran's age may not have any idea what these are about.

| the second quote is from army of darkness, (I think that's the name, I always mix it up with one other movie) it's when he is going to lift the book of the altar, and he needs to say the words but forgets the last one.
