Arturo, welcome to Epee.

I understand your frustration I changed over for the same reasons. But I agree with the majority of the posts here - I think it's a style thing. I'm just better suited to Epee.

Guys, remember saying that there is no ROW in Epee is a bit short sighted. Sure it's not enshrined in the rules, but ROW does surfaces during attacks - its all in the timing and distance. But lets not descend into Epee v Foil discussions. They're different - end of story.

Arturo. Get the basics right 1st. Most people who change over get the distance wrong. And also make sure your onguard isn't as high (Epeeists love hitting that underside of the arm ).

Don't worry too much initially about 2nd intention. Get that point on 1st!!! Getting the beat attack right should lead instinctively to 2nd intention anyway.

And don't try and flick straight off (unless you have a really flicky blade) it won't get you anywhere and you'll still feel frustrated.
